We see the necessity of specialized planning for women first-hand and feel passionately that women deserve financial advice tailored to their individual situation. At almost every turn, women are faced with obstacles that continue to widen the wealth gap such as lower wages, loss of earnings due to caregiving, and frankly just living longer. At OakWood, we continue to build on our commitment to serving women in every aspect – from educational programs to adding female advisors.

Creating a Community Together
Women need to – collectively and deliberately – talk more about finances and the unique circumstances they face among a whirlwind of competing responsibilities. We started OakWood Women’s Leaders (OWLs) with the goal of building a community of women eager to share knowledge and empower others to take steps towards closing the wealth gap. More than half of all women say they do not have a financial role model and our hope is, as financially savvy women, you can help by leading the way.

Whether it's not leaving free money on the table with employer-sponsored retirement plans, using tax arbitrage strategies, or revisiting past financial decisions, our goal is to provide you with actionable items you can start crossing off your list.

Homemade Filled Pasta Class
Christin Ortiz loves sharing her passion for food and will be joining us for an introduction to easy pasta making techniques! After practicing mixing, rolling, and cutting, we will dive into making our own ravioli – versatile pasta that allows your creative side room to run. Next up is a demonstration on how to make tortellini and a simple sauce to pair. Everyone will leave with their finished pasta and plenty of new recipes. You are encouraged to bring an apron. Register by April 17th.

We welcome you to invite a guest.
