Mike McNaughton, CFP®, CLU®, CLTC, AIF®
Senior Wealth Advisor, Founder
I founded OakWood Financial Services in 1999 because I felt strongly about helping my clients transition into retirement and enjoy financial independence without being limited to only a set of proprietary products. I believe it’s critical that I have the independence to personally craft individualized plans built on investment strategies that are unique to each client’s goals.
I am proud to have earned the Women’s Choice Award® (2014–2020)* and Rochester Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 (2007).**
My wife, Melissa, and I make our home in Penfield, NY, where we’re empty nesters. My love/hate relationship with golf is now back in full swing with the newly found time on my hands. I enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time with my family.

My wife, Carmelanne, and I embrace and love all the excitement that comes with raising our four children in West Henrietta, NY. When I’m not at work, I’m usually on the sidelines spectating or coaching one of my kids' lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, or baseball games. I stay busy in my community by volunteering at my children’s schools and sports programs. I remain true to my roots and love being outdoors or in my pick-up truck, generally listening to country music.

I was raised in Hilton, NY where I played varsity baseball and basketball in high school. I went on to play collegiate baseball as a first baseman on the St. John Fisher team. I'm proud to say I was on the team that made the school's history books – winning our first regional championship and then making an appearance in the 2016 World Series. In my spare time, I like to golf, workout, and travel.
I handle account inquiries and coordinate communication between clients and advisors, assuring that top priorities are addressed. After meetings take place, I am responsible for updating your records and information, so it is always available to you and the advisors.
